PHOENIX, ARIZONA – JSF Design Inc., the celebrated luxury design studio helmed by principal designer Jeffrey Florentine, has once again captured top honors—this time at the prestigious 2023 IDS (Interior Design Society) Awards. The firm took First Place in the “Home Over 3,000 Sq. Ft.” category for their breathtaking project titled Solace, a phoenix-rising renovation that redefines what’s possible in residential design.

Hosted by the effervescent Carson Kressley, who remarked he was “blown away this was a remodel and not a new build,” the evening spotlighted the industry’s most visionary firms. Yet it was JSF Design’s Solace that stole the show—standing as a beacon of innovation, material mastery, and narrative-driven design.

“When you select the right materials, think beyond the expected, and lead with imagination, anything is possible,” said Florentine. “Solace represents not just a home, but our firm’s belief in resurrection, in beauty, and in storytelling through space.”

A Passion Project Turned Design Triumph

Originally acquired as a listing for land—its bones gutted, its systems removed, and its history nearly erased—the existing structure was stripped bare by the prior owner. No plumbing. No electrical. No HVAC. No walls. Just a skeleton.

Rather than raze the remains, JSF Design saw opportunity.

From that blank canvas emerged Solace—a home now reborn with global materials, poetic vision, and architectural courage. Marble imported from Turkey, Italy, and Brazil flows through the space with grace and gravitas. The kitchen island, a sculptural centerpiece, features stone sourced from the same quarry as the Vatican in Rome—a spiritual nod to timelessness and reverence.

Lighting throughout the home was custom-designed to resemble celestial phenomena—clouds, suns, stars, and sky-bound objects—offering an atmospheric choreography of light, shadow, and emotion. Every detail whispers of craft, intellect, and cosmopolitan elegance.

Setting the Bar—Again

Despite fierce and sometimes performative competition, JSF Design once again asserted its dominance at the IDS Awards, reinforcing its place at the forefront of the national and international design conversation.

The firm continues to deliver work that is not only beautiful but brave—elevating remodels to rival new builds, and capturing hearts and headlines alike.
