JSF DESIGN AWARDED FIRST PLACE AT IDS GALA

A moment of celebration at the 2024 IDS National Awards in Santa Fe, where Jeffrey Florentine of JSF Design accepted the award for Best Home Under 3,000 Sq. Ft. for our Scottsdale project, Bungalow. Presented by the inimitable Carson Kressley, this honor marks our second consecutive national win—recognizing the power of custom craft, meaningful collaboration, and design that tells a personal story.

Santa Fe, NM — JSF Design, the nationally recognized interior design studio led by Principal Designer Jeffrey Florentine, received top honors at the 2024 Interior Design Society National Awards Gala in Santa Fe. The firm was awarded Best Home Under 3,000 Sq. Ft. for its project Bungalow, located in the heart of McCormick Ranch, Scottsdale, Arizona.

This win marks JSF Design’s second consecutive national recognition, following its 2023 award in New York City. The 2024 award was presented by celebrated design personality Carson Kressley, reinforcing the firm’s reputation for refined vision and creative leadership in the luxury design space.

Bungalow: A Personal and Artful Retreat

Designed for a New York-based entrepreneur with a growing family, Bungalow was envisioned as a colorful, grounded desert escape—one that reflects the client’s appreciation for bold expression, ease of living, and enduring craftsmanship. The home balances mid-century inspiration with curated moments of texture, tone, and artistry.

At the core of the project was a dedication to original, custom-built furniture, many pieces of which were conceived and drafted by Florentine and brought to life by local millworkers and artisans. Every detail—scale, material, and form—was considered through the lens of how it would live within the home and reflect the family’s story.

“We approached this project not as designers, but as innovators in craft,” said Florentine. “Each piece was developed with intention, not just to fill a space, but to elevate how the space feels. It was about creating something that felt both personal and permanent.”
