The collaboration between Jeffrey Florentine of JSF Design and Antolini began with a shared conviction: natural stone should shape architecture, not simply finish it.
Featured by Modern Luxury Scottsdale, Elementa is a collection developed with Antolini to explore how texture, proportion, light and repetition can give stone a more architectural role in the home.

In many interiors, stone is approached as a countertop or a single accent wall. Elementa began with a broader question: how can the material create rhythm, shadow and movement across an environment?
Fluting, relief and other surface treatments change more than texture. They alter the way light meets the stone and can shift its perceived color throughout the day.
The collection developed over nearly two years in Verona, Italy, where Jeffrey worked with Antolini’s team to study slabs and test finishing techniques. That process treated each stone as a material with its own structure rather than a neutral surface waiting for a pattern.
The resulting work draws on architectural principles including proportion, repetition and sculptural articulation. Specialized texturing gives the surfaces depth without relying on added ornament.

The collection has particular relevance for desert architecture. Honed and textured surfaces absorb and diffuse Scottsdale’s strong light more softly than highly polished stone. Mineral gray, ivory and sun-washed tones also relate naturally to plaster, warm wood and the surrounding landscape.
This same thinking informs JSF Design projects, where stone may appear in fireplaces, kitchens, baths, bars, stairs and indoor-outdoor transitions. The emphasis is not on using more material. It is on giving the material a clear purpose.
Elementa reflects a broader movement toward materials with authenticity and lasting physical character. The collaboration is an extension of the way JSF approaches residential work: understand the material, test the detail and allow craft to create the impact.
